In response to the dire need to increase the literacy skills and reading test scores of African American children throughout the United States and, particularly, in the City of Philadelphia, the House of Umoja (HOU) addresses this challenge by mobilizing the Fathers Lead2Read Literacy Movement as part of the Million Fathers March and the Umoja Intentional Community. HOU, the coordinator of the Philadelphia Million Fathers March, adds "with their children" to 2022's national MFM's #RealDadsRead theme.
